Two-Day Blacksmithing Workshop - August 19 & 20, 2017

An introduction into blacksmithing: This two-day workshop will teach you blacksmithing basics including tool orientation, and forge basics. Learn proper hammering techniques and basic metallurgy while creating fun and useful projects. Every student will have ample time on the anvil. This class is limited to 10 students.

We will begin class with a lecture on blacksmithing, safety, and tool orientation. You will then begin your project making a set of BBQ tools. This project will teach you to draw, taper, upset, twist and shape metal with hot forging techniques.

Come ready to have an incredible amount of fun while learning something new. Blacksmithing is totally awesome!

Please wear comfortable clothes and closed-toe shoes. Clothing cannot be susceptible to melting. No polyester, we recommend cotton, wool or leather. Please bring sunscreen and water. 

This class is for adults 18 years of age and older. If you have a child under 18 years of age that is interested please contact us.

The registration fee includes materials, safety gear for class and light refreshments. Class is 12:00pm-5:00pm both days.
