Learn be a bee-steward by raising your own quality queen bees!  The queen is the mother of the hive.  Her temperament, productivity, disease-residence, and resilience becomes that of the hive.  By learning to rear your own queens you can have an influence on the dynamics of the hive.  In this class, you will learn to make your own cell-builders, graft, set-up mating nuclei, and understand bee breeding and selection techniques.  This class will be a mix of classroom and hands-on learning.  
Students will receive the tools necessary to raise their own queens, as well as a detailed syllabus.  
Please bring protective clothing, headlamp, notebook, pen, water bottle and a lunch.
