When you make jam yourself, you can control the ingredients, leaving out artificial sweeteners and preservatives, so that the fresh flavor of the fruit is highlighted and celebrated. In this class, we’ll make a batch of jam with seasonal blackberries, and preserve it using the water-bath canning method.
This class will include a demonstration of the water bath canning method, a blackberry jam recipe, and discussion of low-sugar jams and natural pectins as well as the traditional jam method that we will be demonstrating.
